Appointment of David Emerson to Board of Directors

Port Saint John is pleased to announce the recent appointment of David Emerson as a new director for Port Saint John for a three-year term.

David Emerson has been an employee of the University of New Brunswick since 2001 and currently serves as the Senior Director, Government Relations, in the Office of the President. David is a graduate of Ryerson University’s Urban and Regional Planning program. He is certified at the Fellowship level as an economic development professional and is currently President of the Economic Developers Association of Canada. David is a former member of the New Brunswick Police Commission, and a former chair of the Saint John Board of Police Commissioners.

“We are pleased to welcome David to our Board of Directors.   David’s unique expertise in economic development and urban planning, coupled with a wide variety of experiences in policy development and governance blend well with our existing board skill sets,” said Philip Brewer, Chair of the Board for Port Saint John.

Port Saint John is Canada’s third largest port by tonnage and has a diverse business base, including dry and liquid bulk, break bulk, containers, and cruise.
