PORT SAINT JOHN

is the largest port in Atlantic Canada by volume, located in the southern region of the Province of New Brunswick.

Situated only one hour away from the United States border, Port Saint John enjoys one-day transit to major population bases in Central Canada, the North-East, and the Mid-West United States.

Port Saint John connects with over 500 ports worldwide. In addition to regular container calls from CMA CGM, MSC and Hapag-Lloyd, Port Saint John now offers connections to three class I rail lines — CPKC, CN, and CSX.

Not only can we handle your container cargo, but we are also equipped to handle bulk and break bulk. Our Port offers terminal optionality; with heavy load-bearing capacities and significant open area for complex laydown requirements.

Port Saint John has access to competitive ancillary services, including barging and towing, industrial fabrication, and engineering firms in the Province of New Brunswick.

REGIONAL GROWTH ENGINE

As a key driver of our province’s gross domestic product, Port Saint John’s growth strategy is a high-priority item for our economy.

  • Our seven-year infrastructure modernization project is anticipated to be complete in 2023, having generated more than 1,400 person-years of direct and indirect jobs in the construction phase alone.

  • The resulting growth in container cargo handled at Port Saint John is expected to double induced direct and indirect jobs, creating an additional 500 induced jobs over time.

  • The J.D. Irving Lancaster Logistics Park is an early sign of the formation of a logistics cluster that has the potential to further enhance our value proposition and job growth.
