Meet & Greet Program

A Hometown Welcome Every Time

A Hometown Welcome Every Time

Saint John has an award-winning meet and greet program, dating back to 1989 for the first visit of a cruise ship to the Port. The meet and greet program continues to this day, with a group of 60+ volunteers that meet each ship.

These local volunteers personally greet each cruise ship passenger with a signature collector’s lapel pin which features a different local historic landmark each season. Located both on the cruise terminal and in designated areas in Uptown Saint John, these dedicated volunteers also provide passengers with information about our beautiful City.

Want to support Port Saint John's Meet & Greet Program? Purchase our 2018 Port Saint John limited edition collector pin.

This year's pin features Barbour's General Store. Barbour's is an authentic 19th century general store that was lovingly restored in celebration of Canada's 1967 centennial and Barbours' 100th year in business. It now serves visitors and locals alike as a General Store Museum and gift shop, featuring various local New Brunswick items and offers Visitor Information Services.

Pins are available for purchase in the Fundy Cruise Market, as well as at Barbour's General Store.

Proceeds from the sale of Port Saint John collector pins go towards our Meet & Greet Program.
