Waterfront venues offer unique views and modern facilities

The Marco Polo and Diamond Jubilee Cruise Terminals come alive with cruise ships for part of the year but they also serve as venue rental spaces to meetings, events and weddings all year long.

Fundy Room – Diamond Jubilee Cruise Terminal

Designed to be welcoming places, these waterfront buildings are located in the heart of the city with views of the harbour, Partridge Island, and historic streetscapes.

The unique location at an active Port is paired with the state-of-the-art facilities, which help Port Saint John offer one of the city’s most sought-after event spaces.  Both venues offer a combined 20,500 square feet of event space, two full-service kitchens and contemporary charm.  Ample, overnight parking is adjacent to both buildings and the venues offer complimentary wifi for client use.

“People like these venues because they’re central and they’re modern. You’re in the heart of the city, with a perfect view of the water. Plus, the floor-to-ceiling windows offer so much natural light for photography. The buildings are bright, airy and adaptable for any atmosphere you’re looking for,” Natalie Allaby, venues coordinator, said.

Our venues also offer the exclusive services of four preferred caterers: Thandi, Grannan’s Hospitality Group, Saint John Ale House as well as Urban Deli and Italian by Night restaurants, who will each give you and your meeting, event or wedding a taste of Saint John’s finest dining.  The audiovisual provider at both terminals is PSAV.

“The rooftop patio on top of the Diamond Jubilee is one of my favourite features because it is a unique vantage point. The 360-degree view of the city is something you can’t get anywhere else. It’s like having a living backdrop in your wedding and event photos,” Allaby said.

Another feature that has become popular is the Fundy Room, located on the second floor of the Diamond Jubilee features a seated capacity of 150 and a standing capacity of 200, the venue is an ideal spot for wedding receptions, banquet dinners, press conferences and business meetings.

Great Hall – Marco Polo Cruise Terminal

In 2017, A large video wall was installed in the Great Hall of the Marco Polo Cruise Terminal. At 9 feet tall by 12 feet wide, it’s the perfect way to showcase a slideshow of pictures or PowerPoint presentation to your group.

Together the Port Saint John venues, world-class caterers and audiovisual providers offer professional service and a desire to make your meeting, event, or wedding successful and memorable.
