Directly adjacent to the Marco Polo Cruise Terminal, passengers can delight in an authentic and unique Saint John experience wrapped up in over 60 shipping containers: the AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village.

In June 2022, the container village opened its doors, playing host to a diverse collection of retail shops, food trucks, a crew lounge, and performance space - complete with a two-storey viewing deck! You will be wowed by epic public art displays, pop-up activities, and live entertainment.

WEATHER

Our peak cruise ship season is in the fall when the leaves are changing and there is a crispness to the air. In the summer months, guests from warmer climates enjoy our cooler, coastal air. We recommend dressing in layers while visiting Saint John.

  • Dewy, crisp mornings make way for sunny, warm afternoons. 50s to mid-60s

  • A comfortable climate with breezes from the Bay. Make sure to bring your sunscreen! 60s up to 80s

  • The air begins to cool to make way for our world-famous displays of fall-foliage. Don't let the cooler temps fool you, the Fall sun in Saint John can be quite warm! 50s up to 70s

SAINT JOHN WEATHER

In any season, prepare to be embraced by the signature Saint John fog upon arrival. You can thank the renowned Bay of Fundy for those morning cloud kisses!
