2024 Cruise Schedule Signals Stability and New Opportunities to Shine for Port Saint John

Saint John, NB— In three months, Port Saint John will once again welcome cruise ships to the shores of the beautiful Bay of Fundy. With 75 ship calls and over 170,000 guests slated to visit, the 2024 season signals stability for a reinvented and reinvigorated cruise sector.

The Bay of Fundy region’s natural wonders and unmatched passenger experience initiatives continue to impress cruise line partners, underscored by 11 overnight stays on the books this year.

Thanks to those 11 overnight ship calls, passengers will have the unique opportunity to explore Saint John’s vibrant nightlife and restaurant scene while allowing a new subset of local businesses to showcase their maritime hospitality.

“We know our local businesses and tourism partners are who make us shine on the world stage,” says Natalie Allaby, Director of Cruise Excellence at Port Saint John. “We’re looking forward to seeing how they can wow in a new way during the 2024 overnight calls.”

This year’s cruise season will also welcome 10 inaugural vessels, which are arriving to Saint John for the first time, including Norwegian Sky, Norwegian Jade, the newly built Viking Neptune and luxury cruise line Azamara Journey.

“The Saint John Region is excited to be welcoming new ships and overnight guests this season,” says Jillian MacKinnon, VP Marketing Communications & Strategic Initiatives at Envision Saint John: The Regional Growth Agency. “Port Saint John and our local industry continue to be best-in-class leading to new business and product opportunities like we are seeing in 2024.”

The season kicks off with a visit from the sizable MSC Meraviglia on May 8 on the heels of her unprecedented December 2023 call to Saint John. With another call lined up the following week, May will see 9,000 passengers move through the Port city. The full schedule can be found HERE.
