Port Saint John Celebrates Successful 2025 Cruise Season
Region’s Hospitality and Resilience Shine as Over 196,000 Guests Arrive in Bay of Fundy

Saint John, NB- The arrival of Crystal Serenity on November 6 brought the 2025 cruise season at Port Saint John to a triumphant close, capping off a year distinguished by the region’s signature hospitality. With a record-breaking 83 vessel calls, Saint John proudly welcomed 196,626 passengers and 81,560 crew members to the Port City between April and November.
The 2025 season highlighted the resilience of the Saint John tourism ecosystem and the city’s ongoing appeal as a premier cruise destination. Five vessels made their inaugural visit to the Bay of Fundy, including new cruise line, Virgin Voyages. In the height of the peak fall season, Port Saint John marked its busiest week on record when 15 vessels in a 5-day period; this included some unscheduled, hurricane-diverted ships and over 32,000 passengers arriving between September 29 and October 3.
“Our 2025 cruise season was one full of tests that our tourism partners and cruise operations team passed with flying colours,” says Natalie Allaby, Director of Cruise, Marketing, and Engagement at Port Saint John. “Our focus on elevating the passenger experience continues to pay off, and we salute our cruise community for raising the bar yet again in 2025.”
Since 1989, Port Saint John has welcomed over 3.5 million cruise passengers that generate over $85 million in economic impact across the Bay of Fundy region annually.
